Pavement Rehabilitation Works at the Poznań Krzesiny Interchange

On 18 June 2026, Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. will begin pavement rehabilitation works at the Poznań Krzesiny motorway interchange (A2 motorway, km 171). The project is part of the concessionaire’s ongoing maintenance programme aimed at preserving a high standard of road infrastructure. The works are intended to maintain pavement quality, thereby enhancing both safety and driving comfort for motorway users.

The project will involve replacing the wearing course of the pavement within the Poznań Krzesiny interchange area. To minimise disruption to traffic, the works have been divided into several stages. Traffic through the interchange will be maintained throughout the construction period.
As individual stages progress, selected ramps will be temporarily closed. Wherever possible, traffic will be redirected via other ramps within the interchange. If this is not feasible, signed detours will be introduced via the Koninko interchange or local roads in the Poznań Krzesiny area.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution, pay close attention to temporary traffic signage and follow all traffic management measures in place. This will help ensure both the safe execution of the works and the safety of all road users.

Preparatory works, including the construction of temporary crossovers between carriageways to facilitate traffic management during subsequent stages, will begin on 18 June. The main pavement rehabilitation works will commence on Monday, 22 June.

Stage 1
The first stage will include works on the following ramps: Świecko – Katowice, Poznań – Świecko. Roadworks will also be carried out simultaneously on a section of B. Krzywoustego Street, Poznań, in the direction of Katowice, both immediately before and after the interchange. During this phase:

  • Traffic travelling from Świecko towards Katowice and from Poznań towards Świecko will be diverted via other ramps within the Poznań Krzesiny interchange.
  • Traffic restrictions will apply on B. Krzywoustego Street, Poznan,  towards Katowice:
    – On the northern side of the interchange, traffic will be reduced to a single fast lane.
    – On the southern side, traffic will operate in both directions on a single carriageway.
  • A temporary speed limit of 50 km/h will be in force.

Stage 2
Works on Krzywoustego Street will continue. On the northern side of the interchange, construction activities will move to the fast lane, with traffic maintained solely on the slow lane.

  • Drivers travelling on the A2 motorway from Warsaw and wishing to continue towards Katowice (S11) will be diverted via Krzywoustego Street, Klenowska Street, Kręglewskiego Street and Tychowskiego Street (near Kinepolis).
