Change of toll rates for A2 Nowy Tomyśl – Konin section

Autostrada Wielkopolska SA will introduce new toll rates on the A2 motorway between Nowy Tomyśl and Konin, effective 11 September 2025. The adjustment reflects rising operating and investment costs as well as the broader macroeconomic environment.

Sustained Investment in Infrastructure

In recent months, expenditure on pavement rehabilitation, safety system upgrades, and debt servicing has increased significantly. At the same time, the company is advancing major projects such as the expansion to three lanes in each direction on the 10 km Poznań Krzesiny – Poznań Wschód section and the modernization of key interchanges in Poznań. Together with the widening of the 16 km stretch between Poznań Zachód and Poznań Krzesiny, these investments will exceed PLN 350 million, financed entirely from private capital.
The company is also covering the costs of implementing and maintaining the electronic toll collection system (videotolling) on the section between Poznań and Konin, as well as preparations for future technological upgrades in tolling.
Autostrada Wielkopolska is also funding the implementation and operation of electronic toll collection (videotolling) on the Poznań–Konin section and investing in next-generation tolling technologies.
In addition, the company continues to meet its contractual investment and maintenance obligations, including routine repairs and refurbishment works. Operating costs alone rose by over 9.5% year-on-year in the first half of 2025. Rising costs of labor, energy, and materials – as confirmed by the July 2025 consumer inflation rate of 3.1% (GUS) – directly impact motorway operations.

Commitment to Safety and Service Quality

The new toll revenues will allow Autostrada Wielkopolska to maintain infrastructure quality at the highest standard and continue safety enhancement programs. These initiatives not only ensure the long-term safety and comfort of motorists but also support regional economic development by facilitating efficient transport and logistics.

New Toll Rates Effective 11 September 2025

Starting 11 September 2025 at 6:00 a.m., toll rates for each of the three 50 km sections between Nowy Tomyśl and Konin will be as follows:

  • PLN 19 – Cat. 6 (motorcycles, 50% discount of Cat. 1 rate)
  • PLN 37 – Cat. 1 (two-axle passenger cars)
  • PLN 63 – Cat. 2 (two-axle vehicles with twin wheels or with trailers, including motorcycles with trailers)
  • PLN 96 – Cat. 3 (three-axle vehicles, or two-axle vehicles with twin wheels and trailers)
  • PLN 146 – Cat. 4 (vehicles with more than three axles, or three-axle vehicles with trailers)
  • PLN 370 – Cat. 5 (oversized vehicles)

This translates into an increase of 2–20 groszy per kilometer depending on vehicle category. Rates on the A2 section Świecko – Nowy Tomyśl remain unchanged.

The concession section between Nowy Tomyśl and Konin is not subsidized by public funds. Toll rates include 23% VAT, a portion of which goes directly to the state budget.

The company will also maintain a 50% discount for motorcycles on this section, aligning the rate with passenger cars on the Świecko – Nowy Tomyśl section, where tariffs are set by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
