Autostrada Wielkopolska Named Company of the Year 2025 at the 15th Road Safety Partner Gala

On November 21, 2025, during the 15th Road Safety Partner Gala in Warsaw, Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. was honored with the title of Company of the Year 2025. This prestigious award recognizes the company’s implementation of Poland’s first practical motorway driving program – the Motorway Driving Course – which complements driver education and contributes directly to improving road safety across the country.

An Innovative Program Changing Driver Habits

The Road Safety Partner competition, organized since 2010 by the Partnership for Road Safety Association in collaboration with the National Road Safety Council, aims to recognize and support initiatives that genuinely enhance safety on Polish roads. The contest highlights efforts made both locally and nationwide, wherever they protect the lives and health of road users.

The jury acknowledged Autostrada Wielkopolska for creating and implementing a comprehensive training program that provides drivers with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in safe motorway driving. As the first program of its kind in Poland, it addresses the real challenges posed by increasing high-speed traffic and the lack of practical driver education in this area.

Road safety is the result of the daily work of many dedicated individuals and organizations. Autostrada Wielkopolska proves that businesses can play a key role in this field – not only through infrastructure but also through educating road users. – said Dorota Olszewska, President of the Partnership for Road Safety, during the gala.

Strong Competition Makes Recognition Even More Meaningful

In the Company of the Year category, Autostrada Wielkopolska competed with:

• SIG Sp. z o.o. – recognized for a nationwide training program teaching safe cargo securing for delivery and heavy-duty vehicle drivers,
• Saferoad – a European road safety equipment manufacturer that has long supported the development of road infrastructure and education.

A Gala That Brings the Road Safety Community Together

This year’s gala gathered representatives from government administration, law enforcement, social organizations, public institutions, and businesses engaged in road safety initiatives. The event also marked the 20th anniversary of the Partnership for Road Safety, an organization that for two decades has coordinated road safety efforts across Poland.

Awards were also presented in other categories, recognizing individuals, institutions, and media and social initiatives that contribute to improving road safety. Congratulations to all the laureates!
