Resurfacing works on the A2 between Września and Modła – changes to traffic arrangements

From 18 September 2026, work will commence on resurfacing the concession section of the A2 motorway between the Września and Modła junctions. The works will be carried out in stages and will involve changes to traffic arrangements.

From 18 September – changes in the vicinity of the Modła junction

On a section of approximately 1 km, i.e. from km 256+850 to km 257+560, on the carriageway towards Poznań, the entire carriageway will be closed. Traffic heading towards Poznań will be diverted onto the northern slip road of the Modła junction.
Traffic heading towards Warsaw on this section will continue as normal.

From 19 September – preparatory works in the vicinity of km 244

On a short stretch of approximately 150 metres, i.e. from km 243+900 to km 244+050, in both directions, the left-hand lanes will be closed. Drivers will use the right-hand lane.
This change is related to the construction of a crossover, which will enable traffic to be diverted to the other carriageway during the next phase of works.

From 23 September – two-way traffic on a single carriageway

Over a stretch of approximately 4 kilometres, i.e. from km 243+930 to km 248+070, the carriageway heading towards Poznań (the northern carriageway of the motorway) will be closed.

Traffic in both directions will be channelled via the carriageway towards Warsaw (the southern carriageway of the motorway) – with one lane for each direction. There will be no hard shoulder available on this section.

We ask drivers to exercise particular caution, follow the temporary signage and adjust their speed to road conditions.
