Road Surface Repairs at the Intersection of Poznańska Street and G. Daimler Street in Komorniki

September 3, 2026, road infrastructure repairs in the area of the Poznań-Komorniki interchange (km 159 of the A2) are scheduled to be completed. These repairs include the motorway ramps and sections of Głogowska Street. Immediately after the completion of this phase, the contractor will proceed with the next phase of work, which includes resurfacing Poznańska Street in the area of the intersection with Daimlera Street and Magazynowa Street in Komorniki.

These activities are a continuation of the infrastructure modernization program in the immediate vicinity of the Poznań Komorniki interchange and are intended to ensure a consistent, high standard of pavement throughout the entire transportation network.

As with the recently completed renovation of the Poznań Komorniki interchange, the scope of work will include replacing the wearing course on sections of Poznańska Street, along with reinforcing the pavement. The work will be carried out in phases to minimize disruption to drivers. Temporary traffic control measures, including designated detours, will be implemented during each phase.

In the first phase, work will be carried out on the fast lanes of both directions of Poznańska Street.

At the intersection, it will not be possible to turn left or proceed straight through the intersection from Magazynowa and Daimlera Streets.
For vehicles traveling from Poznańska Street toward Magazynowa Street, a detour will be established via the intersection with Nowa/Nizinna Streets, then along Warsztatowa Street to Magazynowa Street (map 5)

Access to Daimlera Street from Poznańska Street for vehicles coming from the direction of Komorniki will be routed via the intersection with Kowalewicka Street (map 6)

For vehicles entering Poznańska Street from Magazynowa Street toward the center of Poznań and the Poznań Komorniki interchange, a detour will be established via Warsztatowa Street and Nizinna Street. (map 7)

The detour for vehicles exiting Daimlera Street toward downtown Poznań and the Poznań Komorniki interchange will be routed via Wiśniowa Street, Wawrzyniaka Street, and Kolumba Street in Komorniki, as well as the Głuchów and Chomęcice bypasses to the Konarzewo interchange. (map 8)

A speed limit of 50 km/h will be in effect within the work zone. Bus stops will be relocated outside the work zone.

In the next phase, work will continue on the left (fast) lanes on the north side of the intersection. At the same time, road crews will begin renovating the entire width of the roadway beyond the intersection toward Komorniki and at the intersection itself.

• It will still not be possible to turn left or proceed straight through the intersection from Magazynowa Street and Daimler Street.
  Detours will remain unchanged. The only difference is that on the south side of the intersection, toward Komornik, traffic will use a single lane in both directions.
• A speed limit of 50 km/h will be enforced within the construction zone.

In the final stage, the renovation will cover the right (slow) lanes of Poznańska Street in both directions. During the work, the entrances from Daimlera Street and Magazynowa Street will be closed.

• For drivers coming from Poznańska Street from the direction of Poznań who wish to turn onto Magazynowa Street, a detour will be established via the intersection with Nowa/Nizinna Streets, Warsztatowa Street, and then on to Magazynowa Street (map 9)
• 
  For drivers turning from Poznańska Street toward Daimlera Street, the detour will follow the A2 highway to the Poznań Zachód interchange, the S5 expressway to the Konarzewo interchange, and the Chomęcice and Głuchów bypasses to Wiśniowa Street and then on to Daimlera Street (map 10).

• For drivers leaving Magazynowa Street toward downtown Poznań, the detour will run along Warsztatowa Street and Nizinna Street to Poznańska Street (map 11)

• For drivers leaving Daimler Street and heading toward downtown Poznań, the detour will run via Wiśniowa Street, Wawrzyniaka Street, and Kolumba Street in Komorniki, as well as the Głuchów and Chomęcice bypasses to the Konarzewo interchange. (map 12)

A speed limit of 50 km/h will be in effect within the area of the roadwork.

We ask drivers to pay attention, exercise caution, and follow the temporary traffic control signs. This will ensure that the work proceeds smoothly and safely—for both travelers and workers on the road.

The work being carried out is part of a long-term infrastructure maintenance program implemented by Autostrada Wielkopolska. The company consistently carries out pavement repairs based on regular condition assessments, performing them before serious damage occurs. This approach allows the company to maintain a high technical standard of the motorway and the road sections under its management, while ensuring safe and comfortable travel conditions for drivers.

The duration of the above work is estimated at approximately 3 weeks. Please note that the schedule is subject to favorable weather conditions.
