How to drive safely on the motorway? 2026 Road Safety Workshops

Road safety begins with knowledge and good habits. That is why this year we joined in organising the Safety Workshops 2026, which took place on 11 June at the Józef Struś Multispecialist Municipal Hospital in Poznań.

The event, organised by the Poznań – Nowe Miasto Police Station and the Józef Struś Multispecialist Municipal Hospital, brought together over 40 institutions, services and partners, who jointly promoted safe behaviour on the roads, first aid and responsible preparation for summer holidays.

There was also plenty of focus on motorway safety. Our ‘Motorway Driving Course’ stand proved extremely popular. Visitors were able to speak to experts about the rules for safe travel on motorways and expressways, and test their knowledge through practical tasks and quizzes.
During our discussions with participants, we highlighted, amongst other things:

  • how to merge correctly onto the motorway,
  • why it is important to maintain a safe distance between vehicles,
  • how to behave in the event of a breakdown or collision,
  • when and how to form an emergency corridor,
  • and what the most common mistakes made by drivers on the motorway are.

Our motorway driving simulator, reaction time tester and educational materials prepared as part of the Motorway Driving Course programme – which aims to raise drivers’ awareness and promote safe behaviour on motorways – proved very popular.

For several years now, the Safety Workshops have demonstrated that the most effective form of education is hands-on practice and direct contact with experts. We are delighted to have been part of an initiative that teaches responsible behaviour in an engaging way and prepares participants for safe journeys – particularly during the summer holidays.

We would like to thank the organisers for the invitation and all participants for visiting our stand in such large numbers. We look forward to seeing you at future events promoting road safety!
