A2 Świecko - Konin | Every kilometer matters
The event was organised by the Poznań Provincial Police Headquarters. The picnic brought together local residents, for whom numerous demonstrations by uniformed services, presentations of specialist equipment, children’s activities and educational stands promoting safety had been prepared. The programme included, amongst other things, demonstrations by counter-terrorism units, water rescue teams and service dog training, as well as displays of police cars, motorbikes and police horses, alongside charity runs and sporting competitions for officers.

At the Motorway Driving Course stand, visitors could test their skills on a motorway driving simulator, put their reflexes to the test and talk to experts about the rules for safe driving on motorways. Practical advice on maintaining a safe following distance, the correct use of the hard shoulder, forming an emergency corridor and how to behave in the event of a breakdown or collision proved particularly popular.
For the youngest visitors, as well as future drivers, we also prepared educational materials promoting road safety. We believe that it is worth starting to build good habits from a very young age, and that discussing safety in a friendly atmosphere yields the best results.

The Motorway Driving Course is a social and educational programme run by Autostrada Wielkopolska in collaboration with the police and driving schools. Since 2021, the programme has been helping future drivers gain practical experience of motorway driving whilst still on their driving course, and has been promoting the principles of safe use of motorways.
We would like to thank the Poznań Provincial Police Headquarters for the invitation and for their long-standing cooperation. We are delighted that, together, we can promote a culture of safe driving and reach out to further groups of drivers and their families with our educational initiatives.
