Drive in the right lane, and use the left lane for overtaking.

Do not stop your vehicle at any place in the motorway except Rest and Service Areas; you must also not drive back along the entire motorway section.

In emergency, stop the vehicle, if possible, in the hard shoulder, put the red warning triangle at a distance of 100 m from the vehicle, turn on the hazard lights and go to the nearest emergency (ERT) column.  The ERT columns are located every two kilometres. Press the red button to notify the Operator’s services of the emergency. The system will localize the notification and the relevant service shall arrive immediately. You can also notify of the emergency using your mobile phone at +48 61 83 83 112.

Do not drive back or turn back in the entire motorway (including the Toll Plazas that are an integral part of the motorway); if you want to change your driving direction, use only the motorway intersection.

Hitchhikers are not allowed to stop vehicles in the motorway or motorway intersections.
Do not drop passengers off in the motorway.

The motorway may only be used by vehicles and motorcycles. Single-track vehicles (bicycles and mopeds), tractors, carts pulled by horses and pedestrians are not allowed in the motorway.
